About the Artist

R.J. Turner is an award winning photographer, who combines her love for the natural world with her photography to help bring change across continents.  Working in the conservation photography field for over a decade, she has partnered with Save the Elephants in Kenya, The Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust in Uganda, the African Wildlife Foundation in Southern Africa, Craighead Beringia South in Wyoming, and has been the Resident Photographer for the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative in Jackson, Wyoming for 7 years.

R.J. has used her photography and writing to connect people with issues near and far, from the American Wild Mustang Horses to the illegal Ivory Trade and the threats that African Elephants, Chimpanzees and other species face due to human encroachment, the illegal wildlife trade, and the bushmeat trade. She has had numerous art installations to raise awareness of various environmental issues, and actively uses social media to engage people.
