About the Artist

 

R.J. Turner is an award winning photographer, who combines her love for the natural world with her photography to help bring change across continents.  Working in the conservation photography field for over a decade, she has partnered with Save the Elephants in Kenya, The Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust in Uganda, the African Wildlife Foundation in Southern Africa, Craighead Beringia South in Wyoming, and has been the Resident Photographer for the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative in Jackson, Wyoming for three years. 

 

R.J. Turner at work in Uganda in 2015 for the Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Wildlife Conservation Trust.  While there on assignment, she also became the surrogate mother to an infant chimp for the first five weeks of his life.
